A late roll-up ended their SmackDown championship match
Summary
– Chelsea Green defeated Nikki Bella to retain the WWE Women’s Championship
– Bella hit the Rack Attack but left Green close enough to reach the ropes
– Green seized a late opening and scored the deciding pinfall
Chelsea Green escaped with the WWE Women’s Championship after defeating Nikki Bella on the October 30 episode of SmackDown.
The match grew tense as both women battled near the top rope. Bella knocked Green down from the ropes, then followed with a Bella Buster that nearly secured the win.
Green answered with a double-knee strike to the back of Bella’s neck and connected with the Rough Ryder, but Bella kicked out. Bella then went for the Fearless Lock, though Green rolled free and nearly caught her with a quick pin.
After a forearm stunned Green, Bella landed the Rack Attack and covered her. Green survived when she got a foot on the bottom rope. Bella tried to secure the pin, but Green capitalized on the opening and rolled her up to retain the title.
The victory marked another successful defense for Green, who had also beaten Nia Jax and Roxanne Perez in recent weeks. Bella came close to ending her reign, but Green found a way to leave SmackDown still champion.
