Summary

– Nikki Bella completed intense WWE Performance Center tests following broken ankle surgery

– The evaluation included sprinting, jumping, taking bumps, and wrestling in an unplanned match

– Bella said the process increased her confidence about another WWE return

Nikki Bella has revealed the demanding tests WWE required before considering her ready for another in-ring return.

The WWE Hall of Famer suffered a badly broken ankle that required surgery and several months of rehabilitation.

Speaking on The Nikki & Brie Show, Bella said her recovery progressed faster than expected and even surprised her doctors.

She returned to the WWE Performance Center roughly three months after surgery to undergo a full physical evaluation.

WWE officials asked Bella to sprint at maximum speed, jump, and complete explosive movements designed to test the repaired ankle.

Bella said the drills’ intensity made her look like she was filming a sports commercial, as she pushed herself to prove she was ready.

One of the most difficult moments came when she was told to climb the turnbuckle and jump into the ring.

Bella admitted the drill made her nervous because she feared recreating the landing that originally caused the injury.

She completed the jump before being given another unexpected challenge.

WWE officials asked Bella to wrestle an unplanned match so they could observe how the ankle responded under realistic conditions.

The evaluation also included running from backstage, jumping over the barricade, and taking bumps from different positions.

Bella said WWE tested the ankle in nearly every situation she could encounter during a live match.

The successful evaluation gave her more confidence, as reports continue to suggest that WWE has discussed creative plans for her return.

WWE has not announced when Bella will return, but her recovery appears to be well advanced.
