Tiffany Stratton Escapes Jade Cargill

Charlotte Flair’s interference helps decide Women’s US Title match

Summary

– Tiffany Stratton retained the Women’s United States Championship against Jade Cargill at WWE Night of Champions

– Chelsea Green, B-Fab, Michin, and Charlotte Flair all became factors during the chaotic finish

– Charlotte struck Jade with the title before Tiffany hit her finisher to keep the championship

Tiffany Stratton left WWE Night of Champions with the Women’s United States Championship, but the ending was anything but clean.

Stratton defended the title against Jade Cargill after weeks of tension between the two SmackDown stars. Cargill had already built momentum by pinning Stratton in tag team action and later picking up the championship during a post-match fight.

That made the title match feel personal before the bell ever rang. Cargill wanted to prove she could take the next step, while Stratton entered looking to protect her spot as champion.

The crowd backed Stratton early, while Cargill drew a colder reaction from the building. Both women traded offense in the opening stretch, with neither able to take full control.

Stratton later went for the Prettiest Moonsault Ever, but Cargill blocked it by getting her knees up. That gave Jade a major opening as the match moved toward its final stretch.

The outside chaos then took over. B-Fab and Michin tried to get involved before Chelsea Green appeared from under the ring and took them out.

Green became distracted by the championship, which gave Cargill a chance to grab her. Jade tossed Chelsea into the corner, but the referee stepped in before things could go further.

The title ended up in the ring during the confusion. When Cargill reached for it, Charlotte Flair appeared and pulled it away from her.

Charlotte then struck Jade with the championship. Stratton quickly followed with her finisher and scored the pin to retain the Women’s United States Title.

Stratton remains champion, but the finish gives Cargill every reason to demand another opportunity. With Charlotte now involved, SmackDown’s women’s division may have a bigger fight coming.
