Ludwig Kaiser Case Gets Evidence Update

Prosecutors provide digital material to defense in misdemeanor battery case

Summary

– Ludwig Kaiser’s defense team received digital evidence tied to his misdemeanor battery case

– Prosecutors said the shared files may include location-based information in some videos

– Kaiser is scheduled for a July 16 pre-trial conference while remaining active with WWE

Ludwig Kaiser’s misdemeanor battery case has moved forward after prosecutors provided digital evidence to his defense team.

A new court filing dated June 1 states that the State of Florida sent Kaiser’s attorney, Thomas Sommerville, an electronic link containing evidence connected to the case. The filing noted that the link will remain active for 90 days.

The filing also warned that some videos may contain geolocation information that may not be visible after the files are downloaded. That detail could matter as both sides review the material ahead of the next court date.

Kaiser, whose real name is Marcel Barthel, is facing a misdemeanor battery charge connected to an alleged incident at his Orlando apartment complex earlier this year.

He previously entered a not guilty plea and remains free on bond. The case is still moving through the Florida court system, with the next major step currently set for July.

Kaiser is scheduled to return to court on July 16 for a pre-trial conference. Court records have also listed a possible trial window from August 10 through August 28 if the case is not resolved before then.

The legal matter has not changed Kaiser’s WWE status. He remains active on WWE programming and is still expected to continue with scheduled appearances.

The focus now shifts to what the defense finds in the digital evidence and whether the case can be resolved before trial. If not, Kaiser’s legal situation could continue into late summer.
