The match followed a backstage confrontation between Diggs and Parker one week earlier. That exchange gave Diggs a quick test against one of NXT’s more confident and physical competitors.
Nattie also played a role in the moment by backing Diggs before the match and watching from ringside. Her presence added another layer to the debut, especially as Diggs tried to prove she belonged on the NXT roster.
