Los Garza reportedly expected to remain with WWE
Summary
– Angel Garza and Berto are reportedly not expected to leave WWE right now
– Fan concern grew after Oba Femi quickly beat Los Garza on Raw
– AAA’s search for a U.S. TV deal may help keep Hispanic talent valuable to WWE
Angel Garza and Berto sparked concern after Raw, but a new backstage update suggests Los Garza are not leaving WWE anytime soon.
The worry started after Angel and Berto were quickly defeated by Oba Femi in a handicap match on WWE Raw. The situation drew even more attention after Angel thanked fans for supporting the Garza Legacy, while Berto cleared his Twitter account and changed his profile to a black screen.
Bryan Alvarez reported that the internal feeling is Angel and Berto are not going anywhere. He also noted that with AAA looking for a United States television deal, Hispanic talent may be viewed as especially important right now.
AAA is also reportedly dealing with major visa issues, which have affected the promotion’s ability to announce United States dates. That situation is also said to be connected to why the location for the September 11 AAA event has not yet been revealed.
WWE and AAA recently announced that TripleMania 34 will be a two-night event for the first time. The shows are scheduled for September 11 and September 13 in Mexico City.
With WWE’s relationship with AAA continuing to grow, Los Garza may still have value in plans. Fan panic after Raw was understandable, but the latest backstage word points to Angel and Berto staying with WWE for now.
