Duo wins chaotic triple threat match on Raw to become top contenders
Summary
– Liv Morgan and Roxanne Perez defeated two other teams to secure a championship opportunity
– The finish saw Morgan capitalize on a blind tag to hit Oblivion on Kairi Sane
– The winners will now travel to Montreal to challenge for the tag team titles
The road to Montreal got clearer on Monday Night Raw during a high-stakes triple threat tag team match. Three top contenders battled for the right to challenge for the Women’s Tag Team Championship at the upcoming event this Saturday.
The match featured The Kabuki Warriors, the team of Bayley and Lyra Valkyria, as well as the pairing of Liv Morgan and Roxanne Perez. Chaos broke out early with Asuka delivering a double German suplex that sent bodies flying across the ring. Controversy followed moments later when Kairi Sane appeared to have the match won with an elbow drop, only for the referee to rule that a legal tag had not been made.
The action intensified as all three teams traded near falls. Bayley nearly secured victory with an elbow drop of her own, but Asuka broke up the pin at the last second. The closing moments saw Perez hit Pop Rocks on Bayley before being thrown from the ring by Sane.
Morgan used the distraction to tag herself into the match without Sane realizing it. As the Kabuki Warrior turned around, Morgan struck with Oblivion to score the pinfall. The victory officially books their ticket to Montreal for the title showdown.
