Mick Foley has pushed back against a recent online story that falsely claimed he was upset with WWE. While Foley has confirmed he will not renew his WWE Legends contract when it expires in June 2026, he made it clear that the reasoning behind that decision has been misrepresented. According to Foley, reports suggesting anger toward WWE are simply untrue.

The WWE Hall of Famer addressed the situation directly on Instagram. Foley called out an account named It’s Wrestling Lover for publishing a fabricated claim that he was furious over WWE using footage from his career. Foley stated that the footage belongs to WWE and emphasized that he has no issue with its use.

Foley explained that he takes pride in his work with the company and enjoys seeing moments from his career revisited. He expressed appreciation for his time in WWE and rejected the notion that archival footage would cause frustration. His response left little room for interpretation.

Following Foley’s statement, the account in question removed the post and issued an apology. Foley later clarified that the misinformation originated from another page, Wrestling Corner, which he said has shared multiple false stories about him. He urged wrestling fans to exercise caution when believing and sharing unverified reports.

Despite his upcoming departure from WWE and his public disagreements with the company on specific issues, Foley remains respectful of WWE’s role in his career. His response reinforced that while professional paths may change, his appreciation for his wrestling legacy has not.
