She will officiate Brookside versus Hartwell
Summary
– Mickie James will referee the Knockouts World Championship match
– Xia Brookside faces Indi Hartwell at Bound For Glory
– The October 11 event begins at 4:30 PM ET in Tampa
Mickie James will serve as special guest referee when Xia Brookside faces Indi Hartwell for the TNA Knockouts World Championship at Bound For Glory.
TNA President Carlos Silva announced the assignment after the company previously confirmed James would appear at the event without revealing her role.
The announcement places James directly in the championship match, adding an experienced former Knockouts champion to oversee the contest.
James returned to TNA earlier this year for a rivalry with Ash By Elegance and The Elegance Brand. At Rebellion, she teamed with ODB and Taryn Terrell against Ash By Elegance, Heather By Elegance, and M By Elegance in a Hardcore Country Match.
Her Bound For Glory appearance brings her back into the title picture in an officiating role, with Brookside and Hartwell competing for the championship.
Bound For Glory takes place Sunday, October 11, at the Yuengling Center in Tampa, Florida. The event’s revised start time is 4:30 PM ET, following the TNA Hall of Fame ceremony at 4 PM ET.
The announced card also features Nic Nemeth versus Leon Slater for the TNA World Championship and The Hardys versus syX in a No Disqualification Falls Count Anywhere Match.
Special Agent 0, Mustafa Ali, Jason Hotch, and John Skyler will compete for the International Championship. The X-Division Championship match features BDE, Rich Swann, KC Navarro, Fabian Aichner, Cedric Alexander, and Ryan Nemeth.
The Call Your Shot Gauntlet and Eddie Edwards versus Ricky Sosa are also scheduled.
Another potential addition involves the Knockouts World Tag Team Championship. After Allie and Kiera Hogan challenged Zoey Serrano to find a partner, Serrano revealed Shayna Baszler as her choice.
With James’ assignment confirmed, Brookside and Hartwell now know who will be responsible for calling their championship match.
