Speaking with Sean Evans on Hot Ones, Morgan was asked whether genuine backstage disagreements improve or hurt the work of wrestlers involved. She said the outcome can depend on whether they maintain respect for each other.
Morgan recalled seeing situations where that respect was missing, and the performers struggled to cooperate in the ring. She also described promo segments where wrestlers made remarks beyond the planned material or their fictional rivalry.
“I’ve seen scenarios where there is a lack of respect and it translates in the ring in weird ways where you can tell that they do not like each other, they are not working together.”
According to Morgan, those situations do not end well, although the people involved ultimately work through their differences. She did not identify any wrestlers or specific incidents.
When discussing her own approach, Morgan said she would keep delivering for an opponent even if their relationship outside the ring was strained.
“But I like to think that if someone doesn’t like me, they know I’m gonna give them an amazing match regardless at the end of the day and so they’re not worried about whatever issues that we’re having.”
She followed that answer with a joke about how seriously she takes being professional.
“Total pro. Total pro. Total pro. Total pro. I don’t think I could be more of a pro. I think I’m, like, the pro-est.”
Morgan’s comments offered a general perspective on the challenges of working through personal disagreements. She acknowledged that tension can affect a performance while making clear that her priority remains producing a strong match.
