Glenn Jacobs, who played Kane in WWE, joined Trump at Neyland Stadium in Knoxville as the Tennessee Volunteers faced the Texas Longhorns. Jacobs shared a photo from the game and made it clear he enjoyed the occasion.
“Saturdays in Neyland are better when you get to watch the Vols with Donald J. Trump!” Jacobs wrote.
Trump’s appearance had been announced before kickoff, with the University of Tennessee warning fans to expect heightened security around the stadium. U.S. Senator Bill Hagerty was also in attendance for the matchup.
Jacobs recently completed an eight-year tenure as Knox County mayor. He entered politics after becoming one of WWE’s most recognizable performers as Kane, the masked character who became a multi-time champion and WWE Hall of Famer.
Jacobs and Trump have crossed paths several times through politics and have publicly voiced support for each other. Saturday’s game gave the former mayor another opportunity to spend time with the president while supporting his hometown team.
