BeamNG.drive will launch in Early Access for PlayStation 5 on October 19, developer BeamNG has announced.
The driving simulator uses a soft-body physics engine that simulates vehicles and damage in real time. Players can explore large environments, customize cars and trucks, and create different driving experiences.
The game includes 12 open-world locations featuring jungles, deserts, cities, and highways. Players can also use Free Roam, Career Mode, and Scenarios to explore the game in different ways.
The PS5 launch will coincide with the release of update 0.40 on PC. The update adds a new vehicle, local split-screen support, and FSR 3 support on the standard PS5. PlayStation Spectral Super Resolution support will also be available on PS5 Pro.
BeamNG.drive offers customizable vehicles, realistic crashes, environmental manipulation, and progression through Career Mode. However, mod support will not be available on PlayStation at launch, and the developer has not confirmed when it could arrive.
