TNA’s mystery attackers have finally been revealed, with former Wyatt Sicks members Joseph Sawyer and Samuel Shaw making their presence known.
Matt and Jeff Hardy came to the ring during the September 24 episode of TNA iMPACT after weeks of unexplained backstage attacks. Matt demanded that the attackers show themselves, while Jeff warned that his patience had run out.
The arena then fell into chaos. Static interrupted the video screen, the lights flickered, and the building went dark. When the lights returned, two hooded figures were standing behind The Hardys.
The attackers blindsided Matt and Jeff before revealing themselves as Sawyer and Shaw. Sawyer was previously known in WWE as Joe Gacy, while Shaw wrestled as Dexter Lumis.
A second clue appeared on the screen after the attack. The word “Syx” was displayed above the stage as Sawyer and Shaw stood over The Hardys.
TNA has not explained what “Syx” means, but the presentation suggested that Sawyer and Shaw could be part of a larger group or storyline. Their arrival also follows reports that TNA had interest in several former Wyatt Sicks members after the group disappeared from WWE.
Sawyer and Shaw are now officially part of TNA’s mystery angle, while Matt and Jeff Hardy have been left searching for answers after the attack.
