Roman Reigns knows WWE’s next generation will eventually take over, but he is not ruling out another major chapter for himself.
Speaking with Complex, Reigns explained that his role is changing after he has accomplished nearly everything possible in WWE. He is now focused on helping develop the next wrestler positioned to carry the company.
Reigns said there is a difference between simply wrestling him and being chosen as the person WWE wants to build around. He believes working with him can raise a performer’s value because he brings his best to every match.
He also made it clear that he cannot create a superstar from nothing. Reigns said a wrestler must already possess something special before he can help bring those qualities to the forefront.
Another championship reign is not currently his main motivation. Reigns said he is more interested in storytelling, continuity, and the details that make rivalries feel meaningful.
The Tribal Chief also acknowledged that he is gradually moving away from being WWE’s central figure. He believes younger stars will eventually create new rivalries and dream matches that could bring him back into the spotlight.
Reigns even imagined a future match against a wrestler who may not be ready for that level today. If he stays healthy and continues working, he believes another run could still be possible several years from now.
Roman Reigns is not announcing a retirement. Instead, he is waiting to see whether the next generation gives him a compelling reason to return for another major story.
