Summary
– Shape of Dreams is now available on PlayStation 5
– The PS5 release includes the major Starless Path update
– Four-player online co-op supports cross-platform matchmaking
Shape of Dreams officially launched for PlayStation 5 on September 17, 2026, alongside the game’s largest content update to date.
Developed by Lizard Smoothie, the fast-paced roguelite previously reached more than 1.5 million players on Steam. The PS5 edition includes the improvements and additional content introduced during the game’s first year.
Players can choose from nine Travelers before entering the Rapids, a dream world that changes during every run. More than 200 Memories and Essences allow players to modify attacks, reduce cooldowns, and create different combat builds.
The entire game can be played alone or with four-player online cooperation. Cross-platform support connects PS5 players with friends using PC and other supported consoles.
The Starless Path update introduces Cetus, a ranged frost tank who can freeze enemies and protect teammates with shields. It also adds new progression options, hidden story episodes, illustrations, stronger bosses, and a new ending.
Players can now equip six Universal Identity Memories instead of relying only on abilities connected to their selected Traveler. The change creates additional build combinations and gives each run more flexibility.
The PS5 launch gives console players the most complete version of Shape of Dreams while expanding its existing multiplayer community.
