Dean Malenko’s daughter is reportedly moving forward under a new identity at the Performance Center
Summary
– Marie Malenko will reportedly use the ring name Kenzie in WWE after previously being introduced as Lacey Simon
– The change comes only months after WWE announced her as part of its latest Performance Center rookie class
– Malenko already had wrestling experience before signing including time with Pro Wrestling NOAH in Japan
Marie Malenko is reportedly getting another ring name as her WWE developmental journey continues.
Malenko, the daughter of wrestling veteran Dean Malenko, was introduced earlier this year under the name Lacey Simon after joining WWE.
According to False Finish, WWE has now changed her ring name to Kenzie.
The switch comes only a few months after WWE officially announced Malenko as part of its latest Performance Center class. At the time, she was presented as Lacey Simon.
Malenko already had experience inside the ring before joining WWE. She competed for Pro Wrestling NOAH in Japan after taking part in a WWE tryout earlier this year.
Her signing also drew attention because of her family background. Dean Malenko remains widely respected for his technical wrestling career and currently works behind the scenes with AEW.
WWE originally announced Malenko alongside Mason Rook, Nicole Martinez and Marcus Brown as part of the new Performance Center group.
Kenzie will now be the name attached to Malenko as WWE continues developing her for a potential future television role.
