Before Vice addressed the crowd, Damian Priest made a surprise appearance and embraced his girlfriend in the center of the ring. Priest then stepped aside and allowed Vice to share the moment with the fans who had supported her throughout her time with the brand.
Vice removed her gloves and placed them in the middle of the ring, a gesture traditionally associated with the end of a wrestler’s career or time with a promotion. In this case, the symbolic act appeared to signal that her four-year run in NXT had reached its conclusion.

Bryan Alvarez previously reported that Vice had been called up and was expected to join Friday Night SmackDown. WWE has not officially announced her move, but the farewell ceremony and Priest’s appearance strengthened speculation that her main-roster arrival is approaching.
Vice leaves NXT as a former NXT Women’s Champion and one of the brand’s most prominent Latina performers. If the August 4 main event was indeed her final NXT match, her loss to Grey allowed her to help establish the champion before beginning the next chapter of her WWE career.
