Brie Bella was taken to the hospital after suffering an apparent shoulder injury during her return match at WWE SummerSlam 2026.
Brie teamed with Nikki Bella and Paige against Jacy Jayne, Lainey Reid, and Fallon Henley during the first night of SummerSlam.
The injury appeared to occur when Jayne delivered a cannonball that drove Brie into the steel ring steps. Brie immediately grabbed her right shoulder and continued favoring it throughout the match.
A referee checked on Brie following the spot, but she remained in the match and competed through the pain until the finish.
Fatal Influence ultimately secured the victory. Brie and Nikki then turned against Paige during the post-match angle, but Brie’s involvement was noticeably limited.
Nikki delivered most of the attack while Brie contributed one kick and repeatedly clutched her injured shoulder.
During the SummerSlam post-show, Triple H confirmed that Brie had suffered a legitimate injury. She received treatment backstage before being transported to the hospital for scans.
Triple H said Brie’s shoulder appeared to be in bad condition, although WWE did not yet have enough information to determine the severity of the injury or how long she could be sidelined.
