CM Punk is set to step back into acting, taking on a vital role in the upcoming indie horror film Night Patrol. The Hollywood Reporter has confirmed that Punk joins a cast that includes Justin Long, Jermaine Fowler, RJ Cyler, Dermot Mulroney, Freddie Gibbs, YG, Flying Lotus, Jon Oswald, and Nicki Micheaux. Directed by Ryan Prows, the film is slated for a 2025 release.

Night Patrol centers around an LAPD officer, played by Fowler, who uncovers a sinister secret within a local police task force that threatens the safety of his childhood neighborhood. Justin Long portrays the officer’s partner, while RJ Cyler plays the officer’s brother, who stumbles upon dangerous truths. Punk’s character is described as the brutal right-hand man of Mulroney’s character, a sergeant with many secrets.

This role marks another step in CM Punk’s growing acting career. After signing with Paradigm Talent Agency earlier this year, Punk has been exploring more opportunities in film and television. He made his acting debut in 2019 and has since appeared in various projects.

In WWE, Punk recently faced Drew McIntyre at Bad Blood on October 5, settling their feud with a win inside Hell in a Cell. After the match, Punk appeared on Raw and hinted at taking some time off from WWE television. A storyline with Seth Rollins has been set up for his eventual return to the ring.
