The latest episode of The Walking Dead: Daryl Dixon, titled “Moulin Rouge,” is packed with betrayal, tension, and new twists. A sinister plot was already in motion as Daryl safely returned Fallou and Emile to The Nest. Jacinta, fearing that Daryl’s presence would encourage Laurent to leave, pushed Losang to hasten “the ceremony,” a plan with ominous undertones. Meanwhile, Daryl urged Isabelle to leave with him and Laurent, but she initially rejected the idea of staying loyal to their cause.
Elsewhere, Emile shared his trauma with Sylvie, hinting at a dark deal made to ensure his return. The following morning, chaos ensued as Laurent was discovered to be missing. Suspecting Genet’s forces, Daryl searched in tow with Isabelle, Fallou, and Emile. However, this pursuit was a setup. While they were away, Sylvie found out that Laurent had been hidden at The Nest, and soon, Daryl’s group was ambushed by their people.
In a shocking revelation, Emile turned on Daryl, revealing that the ceremony involved exposing Laurent to a walker bite to prove his messiah status. Isabelle and Fallou intervened, stopping Emile’s attack. Fallou fatally shot Emile, and in the aftermath, Isabelle declared her willingness to leave The Nest with Daryl and Laurent. This led to an unexpected kiss between Daryl and Isabelle. However, Jacinta had already set a darker plan in motion, ensuring Daryl, Isabelle, and Fallou wouldn’t return safely.
Meanwhile, The Book of Carol segment brought its surprises. During a stop in Greenland, Carol and Ash encountered seemingly friendly strangers, Eun and Hanna. However, it was a trap; Eun wanted to use Ash to repopulate, while Hanna was tasked with killing Carol. In a twist, Hanna killed Eun instead, and Carol agreed to bring her along to France. Unfortunately, Ash, unaware of the plan, fatally shot Hanna upon their approach to the plane.
Carol and Ash eventually landed in France, where Genet’s guerriers quickly captured Carol. The episode closed with Genet torturing Codron, who continued to withhold Laurent’s whereabouts.
