Summary

– Rosa’s frustrating two-year injury battle comes to an end.
– Expected to resume action after recovering from a recent four-way match.
Thunder Rosa is set for an AEW comeback as she has been cleared following a concussion.
Dave Meltzer reported the news in this week’s Wrestling Observer Newsletter. Rosa recently discussed the injury during an appearance on Busted Open Radio, revealing she needed a few weeks to recover. While not officially confirmed, the injury was believed to have occurred during the August 31st four-way match against Serena Deeb, Queen Aminata, and Hikaru Shida.
The past two years have been challenging for the 38-year-old Rosa, who was sidelined for 16 months due to a back injury. She made her in-ring return in December 2023 and became a regular again, most recently feuding with Deonna Purrazzo on Collision. Their rivalry culminated in a victory for Rosa in a bullrope match.
Rosa participated in Hispanic Heritage Month outside the ring by throwing out the first pitch at a San Diego Padres MLB game this week.
