Summary

– AEW Dynamite has experienced a decline in ratings, with NXT closing the gap and even defeating Dynamite in a head-to-head battle last year.

– The September 17th episode of NXT had 677,000 viewers, close to Dynamite’s 687,000.

– Konnan believes NXT will surpass Dynamite in ratings due to its consistent performance and overall quality.

AEW has grown significantly over the past five years, but recently, the company has seen a dip in ratings, particularly with its flagship show, Dynamite. Some believe that WWE’s NXT could soon overtake Dynamite in the ratings battle.

The two shows went head-to-head on October 10, 2023, for the first time in over a year, with NXT beating Dynamite substantially. Since then, the two shows have remained close in viewership, with NXT drawing 677,000 viewers on September 17, 2024, compared to Dynamite’s 687,000 viewers.

On his K100 podcast, Konnan voiced concerns about Dynamite’s performance, suggesting that NXT is poised to surpass AEW Dynamite in ratings. Konnan pointed out that NXT consistently delivers strong numbers and believes it has become a better overall show.

“NXT was 677 [thousand viewers]. They have been doing good numbers anyways. Soon, NXT is gonna pass them because it’s a better show,” Konnan stated.

With both shows continuing to compete for viewership, fans must wait and see if NXT will overtake Dynamite in the ratings battle.
