Sammy Guevara made a significant comeback during the Ring of Honor (ROH) television tapings in Arlington, Texas. Guevara made a dramatic return by attacking members of the Dark Order and rescuing Dustin Rhodes. This marks Guevara’s first appearance since his suspension from AEW in February due to not following concussion protocol after a match with Jeff Hardy.
Guevara’s suspension was lifted by May, but his return date was uncertain until now. Last week, Guevara shared on social media that he and his wife, Tay Melo, were training for their in-ring return. Melo gave birth to their daughter last fall, and both have been preparing for their comebacks.
During the recent ROH events, Dustin Rhodes and the Von Erichs won a number one contender match at ROH Death Before Dishonor by defeating the Dark Order. The following day at Battle of the Belts XI, they secured the ROH Six-Man Tag Team Titles by defeating Roderick Strong, Matt Taven, and Mike Bennett.
