Randy Orton, renowned as one of WWE’s greatest of all time, has achieved nearly everything imaginable in the wrestling world. However, despite his illustrious career and forays into acting, the prospect of a full pivot to Hollywood remains daunting. In a recent discussion with Adam’s Apple, Orton opened up about the complexities of such a transition and his current contentment with his life and career in wrestling.

Orton, who United Talent Agency represents, actively participates in the audition process for film roles. Yet, he admits to a certain reluctance about fully embracing a Hollywood career, primarily due to the substantial time commitment and the challenge of starting from scratch in a new industry.

“I really love what I’m doing now. I love watching movies. There’s a lot of work that goes into them. 10, 12 hours a day on set… and I do auditions. I’m with U.T.A. and I do turn in some auditions, I do some self-tapes here and there but, sometimes I’ll see these roles pop up a year or two later that I don’t get and I’ll see it and I’ll be like, ‘Man, I’m glad I didn’t get that role.’ I would’ve busted my ass. Wrestled, flown out, filmed, wrestled, just for this? And it would’ve done nothing for me and I don’t mean to sound like an egotistical prick but, in my bubble, in my world, in wrestling, I’m up here. I go to acting, I’m down here…”

Orton’s reflections highlight a nuanced understanding of his position within the wrestling world compared to the uncertainties of acting. His commitment to his family, his enjoyment of downtime, and his role as a father and husband are significant factors in his decision-making process. Unless a truly compelling acting opportunity arises—one that is too good to pass up—Orton prefers to continue his current path in wrestling.

Cody Rhodes, a fellow wrestler and potential Hollywood aspirant, has also expressed interest in reigniting their rivalry in the ring. This ongoing connection with wrestling and the potential for high-profile matches keeps Orton anchored to the sport he dominates.

While Randy Orton’s acting career might see occasional roles, his heart remains in wrestling, where he continues to excel and influence the next generation of WWE superstars. Fans of ‘The Apex Predator’ will likely see him in the ring for some time as Hollywood waits on the back burner.
