Drew McIntyre is currently experiencing a huge resurgence that has skyrocketed his career to new heights. Looking to expand the momentum further, Drew rallied for the fans’ support with a strategy in mind to bring back his iconic theme song.
During a recent interview on WWE’s The Bump, the Scottish Warrior was asked about possibly bringing back his ‘Broken Dreams’ entrance music. He went on to state that it is something many people always ask about him.
The No.1 contender for the World Heavyweight championship even laid out his plan, asking the fans to tag WWE CCO Triple H in this conversation so that the fans could get a teaser at their upcoming premier show, WrestleMania 40.
“Wow, that’s the first time I’ve ever heard that question. I get that question literally every day. I’m not exaggerating. Every single day. I’m always asked about it. We had a little tease at Clash at the Castle. The cool thing about it was, the fans sang along, as I knew they would because I’ve talked about it for so long. I always tell everybody learn the lyrics to ‘Broken Dreams’ because when it happens, you better know them. What’s the Cody thing? You better get ready to learn the lyrics to ‘Kingdom’, so you better get ready to learn the lyrics to ‘Broken Dreams’. When it does happen, and it’d be cool if we get a little teaser at Mania. I don’t know if it suits the character right now, but instead of tagging me, start tagging Triple H. He’s made it very clear on the show that he’s the man in charge, so tag his arse to death, saying we want a version of ‘Broken Dreams’, and I’m sure it will happen.”
The former WWE champion is coming off a massive victory at last week’s Elimination Chamber PLE in Perth, Australia. He won the Men’s chamber match and, as mentioned, earned a guaranteed world title opportunity against Seth’ Freakin’ Rollins at WrestleMania 40.
While the fan did get a teaser of Drew’s old theme song at the 2022 Clash at the Castle event in the UK for his big title match, it would surely be interesting to see the fans erupt for the Scottish Warrior should the entrance return for his match at the Show of Shows.
