SmackDown’s Ratings Remain High Despite Slight Dip

Summary

– WWE SmackDown on Fox drew 2.384 million viewers, a minor decrease but still one of the highest since October.

– The show achieved a 0.64 rating in the 18-49 demo, matching its second-best since September.

– SmackDown led network TV in the key demo and outperformed all sports programming, including an NBA game.

WWE SmackDown continued its strong performance on Friday night, drawing an average of 2.384 million viewers on Fox. Although this represents a 3.3 percent drop from the previous week’s New Year’s Revolution episode, it still ties for the second-highest audience total the show has achieved since October 13.

In the crucial 18-49 demographic, SmackDown scored a 0.64 rating. This is a slight 4.5 percent decrease from last week, but it still ties the second-highest rating since the September 15 episode, which was boosted by a surprise appearance from Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson.

SmackDown dominated network television in this key demographic and topped the daily sports chart, surpassing both network and cable sports programming. Its closest competitor was an NBA game on ESPN, which averaged a 0.38 rating in the 18-49 demo.

Comparing year-over-year figures, SmackDown’s overall viewership has increased by 2.5 percent, while its 18-49 rating has seen a significant rise of 16.4 percent compared to the same week in 2023. This data underscores SmackDown’s consistent appeal and growing audience engagement.
