The Battle for TV Dominance Continues as Rampage Faces Ups and Downs
AEW Rampage, the weekly wrestling spectacle, continues its quest for consistent television viewership. The October 6th episode witnessed a slight fluctuation in numbers, bringing in an overnight average of 343,000 viewers. Of these, 153k belonged to the coveted 18 to 49 demographic. While the overall viewership saw a minor increase, the demographic numbers experienced a slight dip compared to the September 29th episode, which had 324k total viewers and 158k in the 18-49 age group.
The Grand Slam edition of AEW Rampage, aired the previous week, managed to pull in 341,000 viewers, with 148k from the 18 to 49 demographic. These numbers indicate a volatile viewership pattern for Rampage, with episodes seeing both highs and lows over the past few months.
The show’s performance, when compared to the same time last year, has decreased by 3.1% in terms of overall viewership. This trend showcases the challenges AEW Rampage faces in establishing a consistent viewer base amidst stiff competition in the wrestling entertainment industry.
