Dominik Mysterio’s Triumph and Becky Lynch’s Appearance Fuel the Momentum

In a significant uptick, WWE NXT witnessed a notable rise in its ratings, following the aftermath of the No Mercy event. The recent episode of NXT, aired on Tuesday, garnered an impressive viewership of 857,000 on the USA Network. This marks a substantial increase from the previous week’s 636,000 viewers, making it the highest viewership for NXT since October 2020.

The 18-49 demographic saw NXT securing a 0.22 rating, a slight increase from the preceding week’s 0.18. However, it’s worth noting that this figure is slightly lower than the ratings NXT achieved on September 19 (0.24 rating) and September 12 (0.26 rating).

The MLB wild card playoff round posed as competition for NXT, but the wrestling show held its ground. When compared year-over-year, NXT’s viewership and demographic ratings have seen commendable growth. For context, the episode aired on October 4, 2022, attracted 625,000 viewers with a 0.13 rating in the 18-49 demographic.

The latest episode was particularly noteworthy for its content. Dominik Mysterio clinched the NXT North American Championship from Trick Williams in a riveting rematch from No Mercy. Additionally, the episode was graced by the presence of NXT Women’s Champion Becky Lynch.

In a twist for next week, NXT and AEW Dynamite are set to go head-to-head on Tuesday night. This shift for Dynamite is attributed to a scheduling clash with the MLB playoffs. NXT has already teased a star-studded lineup, with big names like John Cena, Paul Heyman, Cody Rhodes, and Asuka slated to appear.
