Former Stars Make Their Way Back to the Impact Wrestling Ring
Impact Wrestling celebrated its monumental 1000th episode in White Plains, New York, and it was nothing short of spectacular. The night was filled with action, nostalgia, and the return of several iconic figures from the promotion’s storied past.
Mickie James, a former Knockouts Champion, made a triumphant return during a promo segment, setting the stage for a ten-knockouts tag team match. She was revealed as the mystery partner, teaming up with Trinity, Jordynne Grace, Gail Kim, and Awesome Kong. Fans might recall that James’ last stint with Impact ended when she had to vacate the Knockouts Championship due to an injury.
But James wasn’t the only surprise of the night. Tasha Steelz, who had been off TV since April 2013, made her comeback, aligning herself with Angelina Love, Deonna Purrazzo, Savannah Evans, and Gisele Shaw as their mystery partner.
The surprises didn’t end there. Rohit Raju also marked his return, reuniting with Champagne Singh to reform the Desi Hit Squad. They faced off against the legendary Team 3D, consisting of Bully Ray and Devon. Rohit had been a regular with Impact until the end of 2021 but had only made sporadic appearances since.
With such a star-studded episode, Impact Wrestling certainly pulled out all the stops to celebrate its legacy and give fans a night to remember.
