Viewership Climbs, But Ratings Take a Hit: Dissecting AEW’s Performance

Every week’s viewership and ratings numbers can tell a compelling story in the high-stakes professional wrestling world. For AEW Dynamite, the narrative post-‘All In’ event has been a mixed bag. As per the latest data from Wrestlenomics, the August 30 episode of AEW Dynamite saw a viewership of 871,000, a slight nudge up from the previous week’s 870,000. However, the silver lining of increased viewership was overshadowed by a dip in the ratings, which settled at 0.30 in the coveted 18 to 49 demographic, down from 0.32 the previous week.

This episode, which served as a bridge between the ‘All In’ and ‘All Out’ events, had its share of memorable moments. Highlights included high-octane confrontations involving wrestling stalwarts like Roderick Strong, The Kingdom, and ROH World Tag Champ Adam Cole. Not to mention, the title bout between AEW International Champ Orange Cassidy and Penta, which garnered significant attention.
