CM Punk’s Travel Ordeal Highlights AEW’s Oversight in International Logistics

The spotlight was on CM Punk, whose travel woes became public knowledge. Upon his airport arrival, Punk found no one from AEW to receive him, forcing him to take a train with the help of strangers. But Punk wasn’t the only one. Several other AEW talents expressed their disappointment with the travel arrangements, or the glaring lack of them.
PW Torch highlighted that many AEW stars, who had previously worked with companies like WWE and New Japan Pro-Wrestling were underwhelmed by AEW’s travel accommodations. Some wrestlers, accustomed to the traditional pick-up from the airport by WWE and NJPW, were left to fend for themselves.
Despite these challenges, the wrestlers delivered a memorable show. The event concluded with a significant announcement for 2024, hinting at another massive event at Wembley Stadium. As AEW continues to grow, it’s hoped they will address and rectify these logistical oversights for future international events.
