Heart Complications Preceded Bray Wyatt's Tragic Passing

New Details Emerge on the WWE Superstar’s Final Days

Recent revelations have shed light on the circumstances leading up to the untimely death of Windham Rotunda, popularly known in the WWE universe as Bray Wyatt. According to police records sourced from TMZ, Rotunda had been grappling with heart complications in the weeks leading up to his passing. Family members disclosed that he contracted COVID in March, which subsequently led to heart issues, particularly affecting the lower part of his heart.

Rotunda was hospitalized a week before his death due to a heart-related concern. On the day of his demise, he informed his fiancée, former WWE ring announcer Josanne Offerman, of his intention to take a nap. Alarm bells rang when his alarm continued to sound an hour later, leading Offerman to discover him unresponsive in bed. Despite immediate CPR attempts and a 911 call, Rotunda was pronounced dead upon arrival at the hospital.

The report further revealed that doctors had advised Rotunda to wear an external heart defibrillator, a device meant for those at risk of sudden cardiac arrest. This defibrillator was later found in his vehicle.

In the wake of this tragedy, WWE and other wrestling promotions like Impact, AEW, and NWA have paid heartfelt tributes to the late superstar.
