Round-Robin Tournament Set to Determine Noam Dar’s Next Challenger

WWE has pulled back the curtain on the NXT Global Heritage Invitational rules. This announcement comes on the heels of Noam Dar’s victory over Nathan Frazer, securing the Heritage Cup trophy. The invitational will feature eight contenders, with the champion emerging from the fray to challenge Dar at NXT No Mercy on September 30.

The invitational is structured as a round-robin tournament. Participants will be split into two groups, and the top contender from each group will face off in the finals on the September 26 episode of NXT. Here’s a breakdown of the rules:

– Two groups will be formed, each comprising four wrestlers.
– Each match has a 12-minute time constraint.
– Wrestlers earn two points for pinfall or submission victories.
– In the event of a draw, both competitors receive one point.
– The champions of Group A and Group B will clash on September 26.
– The victor of this bout will challenge Noam Dar for the Heritage Cup at NXT No Mercy on September 30.

The tournament kicks off on the next NXT episode, with participant announcements rolling out on NXT’s social media channels over the coming week. It’s worth noting that Dar’s recent victory had a touch of controversy, with interference from his Metafour allies, Oro Mensah, Lash Legend, and Jakara Jackson.

The Heritage Cup, originally an NXT UK title, was introduced to NXT by Dar in April. The championship matches are played under British rounds rules. Fans eagerly await NXT No Mercy, which will be broadcast live from the Mechanics Bank Arena in Bakersfield, California.
