PlayStation 5 Welcomes a Magical First-Person Shooter Set in a World on the Brink
The gaming universe is set to be enchanted with the release of “Immortals of Aveum” on PlayStation 5. Set in the world of Aveum, a land marked by eons of conflict and warfare, players are introduced to a realm where only two superpowers remain: Lucium and Rasharn. Separating these mighty kingdoms is the Wound, a seemingly bottomless chasm that has scarred the world’s center, its fissures creating a stark divide.
Players will step into the shoes of Jak, an unexpected Triarch Magnus, also known as an Unforeseen. Jak finds himself embroiled in the Everwar, a relentless battle for the control of magic. With both sides of the war boasting formidable magic users and vast armies, Jak, alongside the elite Order of Immortals, is tasked with unraveling Aveum’s tumultuous history, which may be the only key to preserving its future.
“Immortals of Aveum” is not just another first-person shooter. It’s a magical journey set to release on August 22, 2023. Those who pre-order the game will be treated to the Purified Arclight Sigil, a unique in-game item that enhances Jak’s blue Strike spells and boosts the damage of his Shatter Fury spell.
The game is the brainchild of the creators behind iconic titles like “Call of Duty” and “Dead Space.” It promises an immersive experience in a unique fantasy universe teeming with magic, conflict, and looming annihilation. Ascendant Studios, an independent team comprising veteran developers with accolades such as BAFTA and Game of the Year awards, is behind this masterpiece. Furthermore, EA Originals will be launching this debut title from the studio.
