A Decline in Numbers Observed as NXT Prepares for the Upcoming Heatwave Special

The WWE NXT episode that aired on Tuesday night witnessed a decline in its viewership, averaging 680,000 viewers on the USA Network. This marks a 12.4% decrease from the previous week, making it the lowest audience total since July 11. The episode also recorded a 0.19 rating in the key 18-49 demographic, which is a 17.4% drop from the preceding week. This is the lowest rating NXT has seen in this category since July 4.

Interestingly, the episode had minimal appearances from main roster talent. However, it did feature a brief backstage promo from NXT North American Champion, Dominick Mysterio, and Women’s World Champion, Rhea Ripley. Both announced their participation in the upcoming NXT Heatwave special.

Comparing the numbers to the same week in 2022, NXT’s overall viewership has decreased by 6%, but its 18-49 rating has seen an increase of 5.6%. The Heatwave special aired a week earlier last year, which might have influenced the viewership patterns.
