WWE superstar Rhea Ripley echoes fan sentiments, advocating for better representation of women in major pay-per-view events

WWE superstar Rhea Ripley has expressed her agreement with fans who are voicing their frustration over the absence of top female superstars from the SummerSlam card. This comes in the wake of a series of criticisms directed at WWE’s Women’s Division, which has been a focal point of recent discussions.

On the July 31 edition of WWE RAW, a rematch between Becky Lynch and Trish Stratus ended in a disqualification due to interference from Zoey Stark. This led to the announcement of another rematch between Lynch and Stratus on the August 14 episode of RAW, contradicting previous reports that the two were originally set to face off at WWE SummerSlam. Similarly, a rumored SummerSlam match between WWE Women’s World Champion Rhea Ripley and Raquel Rodriguez failed to materialize, despite a heated brawl on the go-home RAW episode.

In response to the mounting criticism, a Twitter user named “Rheas bicep” posted screenshots of tweets expressing frustration over the absence of these women from the SummerSlam card. The caption of the post read: “treat your women better. simple.” Rhea Ripley herself liked this post, indicating her agreement with the sentiment.

Despite the absence of certain matches, there will still be representation of women on the SummerSlam card. Asuka is set to defend her WWE Women’s Championship in a triple threat match against Charlotte Flair and Bianca Belair, while Ronda Rousey is scheduled to face Shayna Baszler in an MMA Rules match.
