Rumored PS5 Model to Feature 5nm APU and No Liquid Metal, Promising Cooler and More Efficient Operation

According to a report from ZubyTech, the upcoming PS5 model will feature a 5nm APU, a notable reduction from the 7nm APU in the original system.
This change is expected to result in less energy consumption, less thermal output, smaller die sizes, and ultimately faster computing power, making the console more efficient. The new model is also rumored to exclude liquid metal, which could mean that the console will run cooler during use.
However, whether these improvements are intended for a new standard PS5 model or the rumored PS5 Pro still needs to be determined. The PS5 Pro, currently under development, is expected to feature a 30 WGP and 18000 MTS memory, making it a faster system.
