The Australian Heel Making Waves on NXT and Beyond

Grayson Waller, the Australian WWE Superstar, has significantly impacted NXT with his compelling heel persona. His recent match with Edge on Smackdown further elevated his status within the WWE. Interestingly, he has drawn comparisons to The Miz, one of WWE’s most enduring characters.

Waller’s exceptional character work and in-ring psychology have made him one of NXT’s biggest heels. His successful run in NXT led to his call-up to the main roster, where he continues to impress.

Wrestling legend Booker T discussed Waller’s WWE journey on his Hall Of Fame podcast. He drew parallels between Waller and The Miz, explaining why he sees a resemblance.

“He’s definitely had that Miz appeal,” Booker said. “He’s a guy that can go out there and talk very, very well, his wrestling ability is good enough to pass the smell test as far as I’m concerned. One thing he has more than anything is star appeal, that’s what I like with this kid, he has star appeal. You want to love to hate this dude.

“I said he’s mature enough to make it on the main roster, I thought he fit right in on the main roster,” Booker continued. “I’m not surprised that they’re positioning him this way … Going out there and doing the stuff with Edge, he did a great job, his talking, the way he carries himself, he’s doing a great job. I see nothing wrong that Grayson Waller’s doing thus far.”

With his rising momentum and the spotlight firmly on him, seeing what’s next for Grayson Waller will be interesting. Given his current trajectory, he seems poised for a successful run on the main roster.
