Saturday night’s episode experiences a drop in viewership compared to its debut

The second episode of AEW Collision aired on Saturday night and saw a significant decline in viewership compared to its debut, marking a 27.1% decrease.

Drawing an average of 595,000 viewers on TNT, Collision experienced a drop similar to AEW Dynamite’s second episode in October 2019, which had a decline of 27.8% in its second week.

In the coveted 18-49 demographic, Collision achieved a rating of 0.21, reflecting a decline of 36.4% from its debut. This decline is comparable to the 32.4% decrease that Dynamite experienced in its second week on TNT. However, it’s worth noting that AEW Rampage’s comparison may not be entirely fair, as its second episode featured the highly anticipated debut of CM Punk, leading to a record-breaking viewership that has yet to be replicated.

On the cable charts, Collision ranked fifth in the 18-49 demographic on Saturday. It trailed behind the College World Series, Gold Cup Soccer, and ESPN’s SportsCenter.

The headlining match of the Collision episode featured Jay White, Juice Robinson & The Gunns facing off against CM Punk, FTR & Ricky Starks in an exhilarating eight-man tag team showdown.
