RAW Delivers Impressive Viewership Numbers with Unexpected Surge

Monday Night RAW attracts nearly two million viewers, surpassing expectations

Monday Night RAW experienced a remarkable surge in viewership, attracting just below two million viewers for its latest episode. Surprisingly, the show garnered substantial numbers despite the absence of any major advertised attractions.

The episode averaged an impressive 1.97 million viewers, with a 0.61 rating in the coveted 18-49 demographic and a 0.46 in the 18-34 age group. These numbers are typically associated with episodes following major events that intrigue viewers rather than occurring in the week leading up to such an event.

Notably, the first two hours of RAW maintained a consistent viewership of over two million.

In terms of cable rankings, RAW secured the second spot, falling behind the highly anticipated LSU vs. Florida game in the college baseball World Series, which garnered 3.43 million viewers and a 0.85 rating in the 18-49 demographic. The competition proved formidable, exceeding the show’s usual standards, except during the NFL season and NBA playoffs. RAW placed second across all key demographics, trailing only the game.

Moreover, RAW secured the fifth position in total viewership among cable programming for the night, trailing the baseball game and three news shows. This ranking represents one of RAW’s strongest performances over the past year.

RAW outperformed all network TV programming in the 18-49 demographic.

This episode marked RAW’s highest viewership numbers in both total viewers and the 18-49 demographic since the Monday following WrestleMania.

Compared to the previous week, the show experienced an eight percent increase in viewership, building upon an already successful week with a nine percent rise in the 18-49 demographic and a remarkable 24 percent surge in the 18-34 age group, which included a substantial increase in teenage viewership.

Interestingly, this significant boost in ratings occurred without the presence of top-tier stars like John Cena, Roman Reigns, or Logan Paul. Furthermore, the main event featured Cody Rhodes vs. Damian Priest.

When compared to the same episode from one year ago, despite featuring John Cena, RAW exhibited a one percent increase in viewership, a 13 percent rise in the 18-49 demographic, and a 15 percent surge in the 18-34 age group.

Although there was a drop in viewership during the third hour, the numbers remained strong throughout. The first-to-third hour decline was 11 percent in men 18-49, six percent in women 18-49, 29 percent in women 12-34, 12 percent in men 12-34 (which still exceeded the usual figures), and 14 percent in the 50+ demographic.

The viewership breakdown for the three-hour broadcast was as follows:

– 8 p.m.: 2.07 million viewers
– 9 p.m.: 2.04 million viewers
– 10 p.m.: 1.80
