The SmackDown star reveals the reason behind his absence and hints at his comeback

SmackDown star Grayson Waller has finally shed light on his recent absence from in-ring competition, confirming the reason behind his hiatus.

In a recent promo shared on Twitter, Waller revealed that he suffered a broken leg in his final NXT match against Carmelo Hayes at Spring Breakin’ on April 25, explaining, “My last match on NXT against Carmelo Hayes, I broke my leg. Clean break of the fibula.”

Waller was called up to the main roster during the WWE Draft after his injury, joining the SmackDown roster. However, he has been unable to compete since his call-up, instead focusing on hosting his popular talk show, The Grayson Waller Effect, featuring high-profile guests such as Charlotte Flair and AJ Styles.

While acknowledging his skills on the microphone and as a talk show host, Waller emphasized his true passion lies inside the squared circle, stating, “As good as I am on The Grayson Waller Effect, as good as I am on the microphone — I’m better in the ring.”

During his absence, Waller has dedicated the past eight weeks to rehabilitation and training, aiming to return to his life’s best shape. Although he refrained from providing a specific timeline for his comeback, he assured fans that an answer will be revealed soon, but on his own terms.

In an exciting development, Waller announced that Logan Paul will be the guest on the upcoming episode of The Grayson Waller Effect, airing this Friday on SmackDown. The episode coincides with the eve of Money in the Bank, where Paul, alongside Ricochet, Shinsuke Nakamura, Damian Priest, LA Knight, Santos Escobar, and Butch, will compete in the highly anticipated men’s Money in the Bank ladder match.

Wrestling enthusiasts eagerly await Waller’s return to the ring, as his resilience and determination make him a formidable force within WWE’s roster.
