WWE Veteran Brian’ Road Dogg’ James Discusses the Significance of the Money in the Bank Event for WWE and its Superstars

In a recent episode of the “Oh…You Didn’t Know” podcast, WWE veteran’ Road Dogg’ Brian James and co-host Matt ‘The Casio Kid’ Mitchell discussed the upcoming WWE Money in the Bank event, scheduled for July 1st.

When asked about what Money in the Bank means for WWE, Road Dogg explained, “What it means for WWE is it’s a premium live event where you are getting revenue from a global audience and with this one particular, you get to start a storyline for the next nine to ten months.”

He elaborated on the event’s importance for individual wrestlers, stating, “This individual who you trust with the next year of television… that guy is not chosen lightly. It means a world of good for that guy. It’s like a real shot in the arm for creatively for an individual.”

Road Dogg also touched on the potential challenges and rewards for the winner, saying, “He’ll probably have to carry the briefcase on airplanes and stuff but for real, if this person is an interesting character and can carry the weight of the briefcase… they’re gonna have a great 2023 and 2024.”

The Money in the Bank event is known for its high-stakes ladder match, where the winner receives a contract for a championship match at any time and place of their choosing, effectively giving them a “golden ticket” for the next year.
