Bischoff Expresses Mixed Feelings on Sting’s WWE Induction and Match
Eric Bischoff, a prominent figure in the wrestling world, recently shared his thoughts on Sting’s decision to join WWE in 2014. “I wasn’t surprised. I was really happy for him,” Bischoff said, reflecting on the long-anticipated move that came 13 years later.
However, Bischoff’s enthusiasm waned when it came to the prospect of Sting participating in a match. Given Sting’s age, injuries, and the length of time he had been out of the ring, Bischoff expressed concern. “There were a lot of odds stacking up against him, no matter who he was,” he noted.
Rather than risk his legacy in a match, Bischoff would have preferred to see Sting inducted into the Hall of Fame and receive the respect he deserved. “Is this how you want people to remember your last match?” Bischoff questioned, expressing disappointment in the decision.
Despite his concerns, Bischoff was not surprised by Sting’s induction into the Hall of Fame. “I was very happy for him for that part of it,” he concluded.
