Analyzing AEW Collision: Tracking the Ticket Sales Challenges

As AEW gears up for the highly anticipated debut of Collision on June 17th, wrestling fans are eagerly awaiting to see if AEW can maintain a strong viewership on Saturday nights. However, it appears that ticket sales for the show have presented some challenges, raising questions about fan attendance.

Wrestletix recently released a graphic showcasing the current ticket sales for AEW Collision, and the numbers are less than stellar. Despite the presence of CM Punk, the show seems to be struggling to attract fans.

The debut episode of Collision, set to take place in Chicago, has managed to sell nearly 9,000 tickets. This particular episode will also mark the return of CM Punk to the ring for a thrilling six-man tag team match. However, the following episode has not even reached the 2,000 ticket mark.

Among the upcoming Collision events, the highest number of tickets sold, excluding the Chicago show, is for the Newark, New Jersey episode, with just under 5,000 tickets purchased.

The true test for AEW Collision will come in the form of ratings. While the viewership numbers will ultimately determine the show’s success, the current struggles with ticket sales raise concerns about fan engagement and attendance.

As AEW prepares to launch Collision, it remains to be seen how the show will fare in terms of ratings. While initial ticket sales may have presented challenges, it’s important to remember that television viewership and live event attendance can sometimes follow different patterns. Only time will tell if AEW Collision can overcome these hurdles and establish a strong fan base for their Saturday night offering.
