In a thrilling edition of WWE SmackDown on FOX last night, the ongoing World Heavyweight Championship Tournament took center stage, delivering an exhilarating spectacle for fans. Following a slight dip in numbers last week, the show rebounded with a surge in both viewership and ratings, reigniting the excitement among wrestling enthusiasts.

Drawing an average overnight audience of 2.068 million viewers, SmackDown showcased its popularity once again. The first hour captured the attention of 2.088 million viewers, while the second hour maintained a strong viewership of 2.048 million. This marked a significant increase from the previous week’s preliminary numbers, which had seen 1.976 million viewers tuning in. Notably, this week’s preliminary figures slightly exceeded the final viewership of last week’s episode, which had culminated at 2.059 million viewers.

In the coveted P18-49 key ratings demo, SmackDown delivered a remarkable performance, averaging a rating of 0.52. This figure exhibited a rise from the corresponding overnight rating of 0.47 in the previous week. It is worth noting that the final rating of last week’s episode had matched this week’s impressive 0.52 rating. With its remarkable showing, SmackDown emerged as the highest-rated primetime broadcast on Friday, surpassing other prominent shows. Even CBS’ renowned series Blue Bloods, which captivated a substantial viewership of 5.198 million, couldn’t outshine the electrifying appeal of SmackDown.
