Brock Lesnar’s appearance on WWE RAW this week was shrouded in mystery, as early reports indicated he wouldn’t be present. However, the situation changed quickly when it was confirmed that Lesnar was, in fact, slated for RAW. Unfortunately for Cody Rhodes, he probably wishes Lesnar had taken the night off.
During the triple threat match for the WWE World Heavyweight Championship tournament, Lesnar pulled Rhodes out of the ring and proceeded to destroy him in a brutal display of force. After the match, Rhodes was even challenged to a real fight by Lesnar, hinting at a possible street fight in the future.
Fan footage from Jacksonville captured the dramatic moment when Rhodes struggled to make it to the back on his own after the savage beatdown. WWE officials flanked him on both sides as they assisted him backstage. While this moment was not intended to be seen at home, Rhodes did it for the live audience in Jacksonville.
Despite the challenging circumstances, Rhodes received encouragement from the fans as he was helped off. However, one fan took the opportunity to troll him, yelling, “HEY CODY WHAT DO YOU WANT TO TALK ABOUT?” followed by “BROCK ISN’T DONE WITH YOU!” Rhodes probably didn’t appreciate the added insult after such a rough night.
