Professional wrestling personality CM Punk is a highly controversial figure in the industry, with his every move and comment being scrutinized by fans and insiders alike. One person who has not been shy about his feelings towards the star is Eric Bischoff, former president of World Championship Wrestling (WCW).

Bischoff recently made his opinion of Punk clear during an episode of his podcast, 83 Weeks. The conversation began with Bischoff discussing the upcoming All In London show at Wembley Stadium, and he expressed some hesitations about bringing in outside names to help sell tickets.

“I’m not so sure that I would want to bring in a Mercedes or even a Goldberg for a one-off like this,” Bischoff said. “I don’t know that I would do that, and I don’t think they’re going to need it, quite honestly.”

Bischoff then went on to express his feelings about CM Punk specifically. “I wouldn’t want Punk on the card,” he said. “If I’m Tony Khan [president of All Elite Wrestling], I want to be successful. I want to have a huge event. I want it to be successful. I want it to be critically successful. I want fans to have loved it and I want to have done it without someone like CM Punk.”

Bischoff didn’t stop there, however. He went on to call Punk “a piece of garbage” and said that he wouldn’t want Punk to think for a second that he was the reason the event sold out or was successful. “I wouldn’t let him even for a moment think that he had anything to do with the success of what I was doing over in the UK, if I was Tony,” Bischoff added.

CM Punk showed up at an Impact Wrestling event during the weekend, despite receiving criticism from Bischoff. However, Punk did not make an on-camera appearance. The ongoing disagreement between Bischoff and Punk has sparked the curiosity of countless fans who are anxious to hear their viewpoints on the industry. The evolution of their feud is still uncertain.
