Update on WWE Partnership With Twitch

0

WWE has lifted its ban on Superstars engaging with third-party platforms such as Twitch and Cameo, which had caused controversy in the past as the talent was making significant sums of money through their dedicated fan base. However, WWE has stipulated that they will now be taking a cut of the profits.

Despite this, fans were thrilled to hear the news that their favorite Superstars would once again be able to connect with them through Twitch. It has been reported that WWE’s percentage of the new Twitch deal will only be in the “single figures,” which is relatively low.

While it remains to be seen whether any Superstars will generate headlines through their Twitch streams, it is clear that the opportunity to stream again will be welcomed by many. Although the new revenue split may be a small consolation to some, it seems likely that most will be happy to pay a Superstar tax in exchange for the chance to engage with their fans on Twitch once more.
