WWE Reaches Agreement to Permit Wrestlers to Use Twitch Again

WWE Superstars are set to make a comeback on Twitch as per a recent report by Fightful Select. Following a mutual agreement between WWE and the popular video game streaming platform, wrestlers will be able to use Twitch with minimal restrictions, apart from needing permission to feature performers from other companies on their streams.

The revenue generated through Twitch broadcasts will be divided into three parts, with WWE, the talent, and Twitch each receiving a share. However, the majority of the revenue will go to the talent and Twitch.

In the fall of 2020, WWE prohibited its performers from using third-party platforms like Cameo and Twitch, leading to a public dispute between the company and Zelina Vega, who was released by WWE in November of that year. Vega eventually returned to WWE in July 2021.

Back in April 2022, a report from Fightful highlighted that WWE performers had received information about the possibility of monetizing content on third-party platforms once again. However, it was only recently that WWE and Twitch reached an agreement, clearing the path for Superstars to resume their broadcasts on the platform.
