WWE’s momentum shows no signs of slowing down, with the company continuing to dominate headlines for its business dealings. Following WrestleMania 39, WWE brought SmackDown to Portland and drew an impressive crowd. According to a report from Fightful, this week’s SmackDown at the Moda Center achieved the highest number for any event in the venue that wasn’t a pay-per-view, setting a new revenue record.

Live event reports indicated that SmackDown was the highest-grossing non-PPV event in the history of the venue for WWE. The blue brand’s success can be attributed to the high interest generated by the fallout after WrestleMania 39, as well as the events of this week’s RAW. Fans who attended SmackDown in Portland got their money’s worth, and WWE raked in a significant amount of revenue.

Compared to RAW, SmackDown went much smoother this week, and Vince McMahon was not present at the event. Although he made some minor edits to the show via a call beforehand, he didn’t make any major changes. As WWE continues to generate public interest and merge with the UFC under one publicly traded company, it remains to be seen how often the company will continue breaking records.
